My project is closed but i see always wip in my report work in progress

Hi,

i have a issue about project , i invoice all my project and i closed my project.

when i see my report of wip , i see that i have a wip for this project.

when i generate an invoice proposal , it is empty !

do you have some solution for me.

HI Ismail,

I do have some questions for you:

What project type did you use?

Are there any entries set to be non-chargeable which might cause this?

Are you using projects foreign currencies?

Did you use the adjustment function?

Which exact version of AX2012 are you using?

You can check LCS Issue search for known issues and hotfixes as there were some fixes in the past. I used some of them on AX 2012 R2.

Are there any entries set to be non-chargeable which might cause this? YES , I HAVE SOME HOURS WITH NON BILLABLE

Are you using projects foreign currencies? NO

Did you use the adjustment function? NO

Which exact version of AX2012 are you using? AX 2012 R2 CU6

Ismail, I assume this is T&? What was the basis of you invoice, transaction cost+, fee, onaccount? The wip will only be charged out at the point of invoice if the transactional costs incurred were individually invoiced. I suggest that you run the routine to charge the wip out for that project (manage tab>post costs).

so if you generate say a project statement, there are values on the WIP tab, but when you run the select statement for Post costs, the same transactions do not appear? If this is occurring, I would check the select statement very carefully, is it looking at projects that are In progress for example.

now i see 2 transactions when i run my post costs in my subproject ,i validate it but the wip stay here :(

Hi Ismail,

What "Wip Report" do you use exactly for reconciliation?

Have you checked LifeCycle Services for an available hotfix?

As you run on a pretty old R2 Version you might (hopefully) find something on LifeCycle Services that fixed your problem.

I use the standard report Project management and accounting/Reports/Project statements/WIP/Ptoject WIP

how can i look for hotfix in LCS , i see it but i dont know where i have to find it!
