Recreate new PROD environment in D365 F&O

Hi expert,

I have one question, in case if I have already created the PRODUCTION environment but CONTOSO legal entities also deployed to PROD environment.

How to remove the remove CONTOSO legal entities in PROD environment?

Do I need to again create new PROD instance if yes, then how can I clean/remove older PROD environment and create new PROD environment?

You don't need a complete new environment, but you need a new database. You can ask Microsoft to overwrite the current DB used in PROD.

Hi,

In addition to the reply from Martin, there is no support for deleting legal entities from a Dynamics 365 environment. Did you create a production environment using LCS or via Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC)?

Hi André,

I have created production environment using LCS but along with custom legal entities CONTOSO legal

entries also deployed.

FYI, I have mapped Production DB from Sandbox DB during PRODUCTION environment creation using LCS.

Hence Sandbox have also the CONTOSO legal entities along with custom LE's.

Kindly suggest the solution.

You should fix the sandbox first and then apply the correct DB to production.

Removing existing legal entities is difficult and not recommended. You didn't mention your process, e.g. if you have a golden config environment or something else as the controlled source of truth of the configuration data. If you have, you should use that as your starting point.
