TFS problems

Hi

We use TFS inside DAX2012. Currently I do have some object in DAX2012 shown as checked out but they are not under source control yet. They should be (I would like to add them) but cannot because of the state.

Undo pending checkout does not work because in this case the system shows "object not under source control" same with checkin

Can anyone tell me how I can fix the issue?

Best regards

Chris

Good. Now you have two options - either you'll get it working in AX or you'll use Team Explorer or something to add the file.

If you want to do it through the AX client, decide whether the file should be there at all. If not, delete it. (To be honest, I don't remember anymore how exactly it used to work in AX 2012.

If you use want to bypass AX, make sure that the file contents is correct, add and commit the file. Then you'll probably need to set the file as read-only.

I had a look in the wrong local folder. When I look at the right one the Object is there and writable

Files exist in file system, regardless of whether they're in version control system or not. These are two different things. Did you actually look for a file on disk or did you just assumed that no file exists if nothing was committed to source control? I've several issues caused by files that people weren't aware of and files that weren't in the expected state.

Because the files never been checked in before they are not on a file system

Will it make any difference if you change "read only" status of those files (directly in file system)?
