System not considering Current Demand Forecast lines while executing Master planning run

Hello,

I have Demand forecast for a production item uploaded in system in everyday basis.

My Forecast time fence is set to 1 and my coverage time fence is also set to 1.

The Expectation is, system should look for a demand forecast lines with current date and create a planned batch order while running Master planning process. Unfortunately, System is considering tomorrow's Demand forecast line for creating planned batch order.

Appreciate your valuable inputs for achieving the expectation stated above and Thank you.

    Good day,

What happens if you remove the forecast time fence of 1 and the coverage time fence of 1?

    Best regards,
    Laurens van der Tang

    Good day,

Thanks for checking. Which date have you added in the forecast lines? Is it the date of today or the date of tomorrow?

    Best regards,

    Hi lvdtang,

We have demand forecast lines for current date (Today's date) and also for tomorrow's date. We have demand forecast lines for every day of the month for a whole year.

When I am running master planning for current date with coverage time fence and Forecast time fence as 1, System is not considering current date demand forecast lines as a requirement. Instead, its considering tomorrow's demand forecast lines as requirement.

Found the answer for this. I am not using deprecated master planning module. Instead, I am using planning optimization feature. Due to this, System is not considering Today's Demand forecast lines while running master planning. Deprecated master planning used to consider today's demand forecast lines but Planning optimization doesn't.  Not sure about the reason behind this.

Below is the link for differences between Planning optimization and Deprecated master planning,
