its about ssrs report.(BOM detail report)

Which exact report are you trying to run? Is it a standard or custom report? Is "sl.no" a custom field?

Actually when i insert the data in form level,(bill of materials ) in a particular column i.e sl.no(datatype is string) it is not updated in the report.

I don't understand your question. You probably used some abbreviations in the title which are unclear. Also the contents of your question is quite short. Can you explain your question in more detail?
