Extract the list of security roles, duties and privileges from Dynamics AX?

How can we add privileges and duties to this list?

I am looking for

Roles

-Privileges

--duties

we are going through an upgrade and i need to export this data into a spreadsheet.  Please help!

    Hi, you posted your message in a discussion that was some years old, already marked as verified answer, and the topic was slightly different. So, I separated your question into a new thread.

    The old discussion was about exporting security roles (community.dynamics.com/.../234365).

    Now you say you want to export duties and privileges. Do you mean you want to export three lists: one containig all roles, one containing all duties, and one containing all privileges? Or do you want some kind of hierarchical export where you see which duties belong to which roles etc?

    Yes correct, i am looking for a report that shows all Roles in the system then what privileges belong to that and what duties belong to those privileges .

    You would be the AX God if you can do this.  I cannot find this anywhere.

    Tried this code and i got this error...

    "CommaTextIo object not initialized.

    Stack trace

    (C)\Jobs\Security_Report - line 93"

    So i updated line 45 "Filename   filename " to "Filename  filename = "C:\\Excel.xlsx";

    but still getting the same error...can you help?

    I would also be okay with just Roles and privileges for now if you can help with that.

    For me the "CommaTextIO" error went away when I specified filename "C:\\temp\\test.csv". You can also try to run AX as administrator.  But I faced some other issue with a treenode object. So you would need to debug and try to understand the code and where it goes wrong.

    And you can to try to find other articles as well, I just googled "dynamics ax export roles duties privileges excel" and found the above article.
