I am trying to deploy a custom package but since 20 hours it is stuck on preparing phase. there is no option to cancel or stop also.
Hi Naveed,
When this is preparation for over 20 hours, I would suggest to log an incident for Microsoft Support. They might be able to check what is running in the background or help with unblocking you.

FInally it changes the status from preparing to downloading after a day almost
I'm glad it "solved" itself. Is the deployment applied correctly now?
I already had a similar issue, it was related to a in issue in LCS we had to open a support request in Microsoft
