Item Transactions - Return lot ID

Hi All,

When I use movement journal, I see Return lot ID in tab general.

Return lot Id is just reference, Isn't it? Because when I specify negative quantity and enter return lot ID, I think system will use cost that I receive inventory.

I use moving average cost method.

Thank you,

Phung Luong.

    Hi Phung,

When you are using the moving average, the return lot ID should not be considered for the cost. But please test it, I'm not completely sure about that.

    Hello André,

I realize System does not working with moving average. Do you know what method costing that lot ID support?

    However, I have a problem.

This is screen when I receive inventory. Cost amt is 3,610,000 (cost unit = 9025)

After that, I specify an transaction in order to check lot ID return. I enter negative qty and Return lot ID, Cost price is blank. I check transaction, Cost amount is 3,609,920 (cost unit = 9024.8)

(I do not enter any transactions between two transactions that I test)

I tested if I enter another transaction with negative quantity and does not specify Return lot ID, system will use cost unit 9025 to record transactions.

    Do you know why?

    Thank you.

    Phung Luong.

On your first screenshot, was this the only transaction for this item or do you have multiple transactions already? What inventory model are you using if you now say you don't use moving average?
