Sales Quote: Customization of pricing calculation

Hello,

I have a question regarding the System Pricing Calculation. Currently, the system recalculates the unit price * quantity = resulting total amount price. My organization's need is to add a multiplier for the number of months so the calculation looks like this:

Unit Price * Quantity * Months = Detailed Amount - Discount (%) = Total Amount

I couldn't find a solution to customize the System Pricing Calculation, so my question is if it's doable to manage it. Or the only solution is to create custom business rules/calculating fields?

    Hi Jacob,

    Yes.

    You can't customize the System Pricing Calculation, and you can disable the system pricing on the system settings (Sales tab).

    For the total amount, there is no OOTB way to directly edit this field or no UI to directly add custom calculations to it. The only way to edit it is to customize it by code.

     If your main purpose is to have a field to display the results based on your own calculations, there are some other options: calculated field or plugin
