regarding open/released status of a purchase order

Hello everybody,

The premise is: our suppliers very often make mistakes with delivery quantity and/or deliver only a part of the expected quantity/SKUs.

The issue is that every time our warehouse does a receipt the status automatically becomes "released".

Since warehouse does not have the authorization to reopen an order, every time they receive a partial shipment I have to manually reopen the order so that they can receive the next batch.

Is it possible to setup the open/released status so that it automatically becomes released only when every item has been received? Any other alternative?

    This means whenever you post the warehouse receipt system change the status from reopen to release but for posting you required status should be reopen

    You can do little customization during warehouse receipt posting by checking PO No status and if it is released then make it reopen

    Please explain why you have to "to manually reopen the order so that they can receive the next batch"? Are you saying you have to change the Status of the PO to Open before they can receive against it? Or are you saying you have to Open the PO just to modify the Quantity to match what was received?

    Hi,

    There's no standard functionality, you need to do a minor customization.
