Assign Ownership / Share Segments in Real Time Marketing

How can we assign or share segments in Real Time Marketing with users?   We were able to do this in Outbound, but it does not appear that there is even an "Owner" field in Real Time segments table.

    After testing, I'm afraid that's impossible.

    I did a test as follows:
    I changed the owner value from system administrator to a user.



    I logged in with this user account and found that I could still see all the Segments.


    Going through the app designer, I found that the app uses this /msdynmkt_virtualsegment/ entity.

    This virtual table doesn't have this assignment permission and is owned by the organization, so that user can see all the Segments in the organization, even if I change the Owner field.

    I'm a product manager for segments in Real Time Marketing. Changing ownership is currently not supported in RTM and is an item we have on our backlog. There isn't a timeline I can share for when this capability will be available in RTM, other than saying 1st half of 2025.

    Glad to see that other Customer Insights users also have the need to manage security / ownership of segments in RTM.
     
    For our organisation this is a major roadblock for the transition to RTM seeing as all our processes are based on security settings that allow us  to manage which Teams have access to specific Segments.
     
    Thank you @JimsonC for confirming that this is indeed a feature that is in the backlog with possible release first half 2025. However, this will be too late seeing as Outbound Marketing is set to be discontinued 30 June 2025.
     
    If other users also find this feature essential / valuable - please reply to this thread so that Microsoft can reevaluate the priority of this important feature release ahead of the fast approaching transition deadline.

    Hi,
    Add the Owner field to the "Customization form" form of the Segment Definition entity. The form is completely empty in the beginning.
     
     
    While editing a Segment definition record, you can access that form through the Settings pane on the right. Open the Custom form dropdown, and the "Customization form" appears there.
     
     
    There you can set the owner before going live, and even while editing a live segment.
