I am a little concerned from your response. Our clients bought Microsoft's product, not smartconnect, because they were told it provided the integration they needed. Why do our clients pay for an enhancement plan, if the product is not being enhanced?
For the W4 fields (Cards > Payroll > Tax), we're not adding anything new to eConnect or IM.
However, eOne has a blog of a workaround for this for SmartConnect, which uses eConnect. The blog is here:

Thank you for the information. I'm confused because importing employees is not a new function of Integration Manager or eConnect. There have been fields added due to the W4 changes which should also be added to the Tax Information section of IM when importing into the Payroll Master.
Right now there aren't any plans that we've been made aware, to change Integration Manager or eConnect or any of those type of applications to add new functionality such as payroll, etc.
I would recommend adding this as a product suggestion and voting it up, as the more votes a suggestion gets, the more likely GP Development is to look at potentially adding the new functionality in a future release.

I just got off the phone with Microsoft. They forwarded me to about 5 different numbers before I gave up. Does anyone at least have the correct support number to reach out? I am willing to sit on the phone and wait for an answer but I can't even figure out the right people to call.
