ReportReport
Posted on by 410

Hi All,

I have been  trying to generate PDF from a custom report in dynamic, i am sending a POST message to the reporting server API, but getting an error of - HTTP Error 404 - Not Found (even when used directly on a url bar).

I have something like this in my Javascript file: "Xrm.Page.context.getClientUrl() + "/CRMReports/rsviewer/QuirksReportViewer.aspx";"

I dont know, is it because my trial version of 365 has expired today?, but i can still log in and work.

someone please help

Is this a FETCH based report? if so you should be able to first access the report from the UI. If you can't access the report from CRM UI, you need to first get that sorted I think

I have not tested any reports but my expired trial still works so even if the trial expired if it works, it should allow to access the report.

If you are finding it difficult to debug your script, you could add a debugger; line to your script and when you refresh the page while dev tool is open, it should hit the debugger line allow you to debug our script.

In you javascript, could you also add a console.log(Xrm.Page.context.getClientUrl() + "/CRMReports/rsviewer/QuirksReportViewer.aspx"); and copy the URL and paste it onto browser address bar and see if the URL works. This should confirm that the JS is using the correct URL.

Kokulan i have pasted the full URL in my URL and it came back with the 404 error as well.
