Upload activities and notes attachment files from DAX09 to D365 CRM

Hello everyone,

We are currently trying to migrate our data from Dynamics AX 09 on premise to D365 Cloud version.

We manage to import accounts, activites, etc. but we now need to transfer the attached files from our file server to the on premise cloud.

How can we do this? Are the datamaps able to do this or do we have to use another system (kingsway soft?)

We want to use the purpose of the D365 activity as Account Topic in D365 and put the activities details in those topics, with their related files.

Would have any tutorial that we can follow?

Hi BGO,

You can use several attachment entities for this purpose. E.g. there is a Product attachment entity. If you first create some data in Dynamics 365 and export it using this entity, you can download the package and learn how to prepare it for imports. Note that not all tables are supported with data entities for attachments. In that case, you can develop your own.
