Dynamics CRM 8.2 with Azure SQL PaaS

Dears,

Azure SQL PaaS is not in the compatibility support for Dynamics CRM 2016. I would assume that we cannot use Azure SQL with Dynamics on premises versions? Can you please advise which Dynamics services (On premises) can be migrated to Azure SQL DB from the SQL perspective.
