There seems to be a pretty significant bug in Wave 2 regarding the expiration dates on emails in Customer Journeys. The system does a few things that are very odd (I have included a screen capture of the behavior that both I and others in our company have observed (on different browsers and OS's))..
VIdeo of behavior (4 minutes long)
https://youtu.be/LdzWRoeL-Xw
Summary of behavior:
1) When selecting a date it will go "backwards" by one day.. So if I select 10/1 to expire the content, with in about 5 seconds of making that selection the date will role backwards to 9/30
2) Unpredictable behavior "keeping" the date that is set between saves and loads of the journey
- In the video we see exp. date of a specific start at 9/25, updated and saved to 9/30 (by selecting 10/1) and then showing 9/25 again by re-selecting the email step
- In the video we see the exp. date saved to 9/30 (by selecting 10/1) and then leave an return to to the journey and the value then shows 9/29
- in the video we see the exp. date left at 9/29, we leave and return to the customer journey and it drops from 9/29 to 9/28 on returning..
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? does anyone have a work around.. Our Marketing department is super nervous about the risks this creates regarding the time/date sensitive portions of the journey
Thanks
Josh
We are in the US. We were on Wave 2 for most of Dynamics... I am reading this right my Marketing install is 1.35.1026.0 if that helps
Hi Josh,
The 2020 release wave 2 of Dynamics 365 for Marketing is currently being rolled out!
It is in progress now - and we expect it to be available to all regions by the last week of October.
Which region are you in? (EMEA, Africa, US?)
Thanks,
Aga
Aga,
Do you know when the October release will go out.. We are on Wave 2, and according to the config screen for Marketing it says we are up to date... There are no accessable options to upgrade to a newer version.
thanks
Josh
Hi John,
Thank you for reporting the issue. We have already fixed it and you should not be experiencing this issue anymore once you upgrade D365 for Marketing to the October version.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Best Regards,
Aga
