Consuming Dynamics 365 FO Custom Service throwing 403 forbidden error

Hi all,

I have developed one custom SOAP service in FO VM and now trying to consume that in .Net Console Application.

I have already done everything: Azure app registration, FO System Admin- Setup. I am also referring to the Git hub repository of the D365 FO web service.

Now I am facing a forbidden error when I am running my console application code.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Pooja,

In another thread, you mentioned that you are using VHD? Is that correct? Have you checked that all parameters needed for authorization is correct especially AD resource (without trailing slash)

Are you able to test this service using any other tool  like SOAPUI ? If not try to test and see if you are able to successfully test it.  As mentioned by Sergei trailing slash in a resource while acquiring token could cause issues , so check that as well.

Can you check AuthenticationUtility class and make sure all parameter has been set?

Yes, I have cross-checked that also.

    Hi Pooja,

We have faced this error earlier for two reasons -

    1. App registration API permissions. Please ensure the following permissions are enabled.

    2. Are you authenticating with app secret or user Id & password? In case it's the latter, Does the user Id have appropriate access for Azure app registration and for F&O?

    Hi All,

I have checked the azure app registration and already assigned permission to D365 ERP. I have checked SOAPURI and got a message: There is insufficient account information to log you on.

In azure I have register URL is: Https://<base URL>/soap/services

    Hi Pooja,

Will it be possible for you to share a screenshot of the API permissions under "Azure Active Directory Graph"?

    Hi Pooja,

Are you authenticating as a user or using client app secret?

Also, which user is configured for this App Id in F&O
