Hi,

After V27 upgrade when we try and export layouts we get this:

It still exports, but can anyone advise what we can do to solve this. Seems to be an issue with V27 upgrades.... But cannot import anything back

Debbie

    Hello,

Your Word/RDLC layouts are showing those errors because v27 changed the report datasets, and your old custom layouts no longer match the new XML structure.
The only real fix is to regenerate a fresh layout and rebuild your formatting on top of it.

Create a new Word/RDLC layout for report 399.
    Export it.
Copy your design into the new layout (don’t copy XML parts).
This ensures the layout matches the new dataset and removes the upgrade errors.

    Hi,
    I have do this test:
    1. create new layout copying the original report rdlc
    2. export it
    3. import it without modify nothing

It doesn't work and  show me the same error:

([None]): UpgradeErrors: : Root element is missing.

I think that is need wait an hotfix

You need to use the new page 9660 Report Layouts

Custom Report Layouts (page 9650) is getting obsolete

As mentioned you should use the "Report Layouts" page instead of "Customer Report Layouts." Do you still get an error if you use "Report Layouts?"

Hi, hope the following can give you some hints as well.
Business Central 2022 wave 1 (BC20) new features: New pages for report layout administration (page 9660 “Report Layouts”)
Dynamics 365 Business Central: Add Custom Report Layouts to Report Layouts (Migrate to System Layouts)
Dynamics 365 Business Central: Why are custom columns/fields added via Report Extension not found in standard layouts exported from Report Layouts page?

    Thanks.

How do I migrate my Custom report Layots to the Report Layouts? The "Migrate to System Layouts" Action doesn't do nothing.
