Hi AX Intels,

I'm just wondering why I can't find the Field that I added in table(PurchParmTable) and named it ActualReceiver and on table(VendPackingSlipJournal) I cant find the field by the time I click on the properties ExtendedDataType .

I will it the field named AR in table (VendPackingSlipJournal).

I provide screenshot for more elaboration.

Please help me. Thanks.

Regards,

WH

    Hello  Welyelf,

What I can see from your attached screenshot that you have added the field on table "PurchParmTable" and now you are trying to add it on Form Level.. isn't?

If so, then why don't you just drag your field from table datasource(Form

    >DataSource Node)  on Form grid level ( remember please restore Form by right clicking on Form , it will show your recently added field on Table level).

If that's not your issue , please tell us more.

Well, might be I wrong on my 1st comment (you have attached many screenshots so I confused :) )

     Anyways, My 2nd assumption :

If you are trying to add that field on "VendPackingSlipJournal" table level and you can not see EDT for that Field then you can do following things:

     1. You already have that field on "PurchParmTable" table then take a look on that field property on PurchParmTable level and copy its EDT and paste it on your VendPackingSlipJournal field level.

    2. Second , might be you took wrong datatype for field "AR" on VendPackingSlipJournal but it was different datatype on PurchParmTable. For that vary reason, you can not able to see its EDT.

for Instance, it is Integer type field and you took string type on VendPackingSlipJournal table.

    Hi Visvash,

    Thankyou for your answer.

I tried your answer but it still not working. It has the same datatype . But where can I find the EDT ?
    I just cannot get it.

RE: Can't Find the Field in ExtendDataType.

    Hi Visvash,

I can't see it or display it . Maybe something wrong to the field I added ?

Its because I see there in the properties there is ExtendDataType but the Field I want to use is not visible to selected Item, how can I make it view in items?

Your first response is right. I can add to the field AR of Class(PurchPackingSlipJournalCreate\initHeader) but when I get the data from PurchparmTable it cannot display.

    It goes like this.

vendPackingSlipJour.AR   = "WORKING"; // when I use this it works

vendPackingSlipJour.AR   = purchParmTable.ActualReceiver; // when I get the exact input it will never get the data

    Thankyou so much.

    Regards,

    WH

You're saying that you want to find a table field in a list of extended data types, but it makes no sense. What you see there are - logically - extended data types and not fields. Either pick an existing EDT or create a new one (AOT > Data Dictionary > Extended Data Types).

Regarding your other problem with vendPackingSlipJour.AR   = purchParmTable.ActualReceiver, it seems that you don't have any value in purchParmTable.ActualReceiver, therefore your problem is in the place where you should fill it in, not where you're using it.

    Agreed with Martin.

In simple way, go to purchParmTable >ActualReceiver & check if its property has Extended data Type(EDT) attached ?

    a) If EDT is attached to  "ActualReceiver" field then simply copy that EDT and paste to your AR field EDT property (provided your both fields are of same data type).

    b) If EDT is attached to " ActualReceiver" then like Martin said " Either pick an existing EDT or create a new one (AOT > Data Dictionary > Extended Data Types)."
