Power automate failure when accessing get a record / update a record in D365 FO

Hi Folks

I have created a power automate to send custom alerts as an email, We have multiple legal entities and I change the company of the user before processing a request from power automate to D365 FO. https://dynamicspedia.com/2021/10/multiple-legal-entities-issue-with-the-fin-ops-apps-connector-in-power-automate/

The flow fails when events are triggered simultaneously, likely due to concurrent executions causing conflicts. Has anyone encountered a similar issue, and what possible solutions helped resolve it?

Thanks
Uday

    Hi,

There is an interesting blog, also from @André,  where he describes the comparison between PA connector vs dataverse. As far as I remember, using dataverse connector doesnt require the user to be set up in the same legal entity as the alert.

So, the solution might be using the dataverse connector, however, I cant say it for sure tbh.

    Kind regards, Adis

    Hi Uday,

I wrote the blog about the issues with the Fin&Ops connector, hoping for a better solution. Changing the legal entities is a cumbersome workaround and with high number of executions, this may indeed lead to issues as you experienced.

As Adis mentioned, I wrote another blog earlier this year where, I think, you now better can use the Dataverse connector and enable the data entities as Virtual tables.

    Hi!

Thank you @Adis and @André Arnaud de Calavon I wasn’t aware of the issue with Power Automate. I’ll look into virtual entities.

    Thanks
    Uday
