AX Logon Error - Connection to AOS could not be established

Posted on by 557

Hi. There a logon error when connecting from client installed on a windows server 2012 R2 machine.

The client on this machine works and connects fine when connecting through an admin account. But shows the logon error when logging in using a standard user.

The standard user is able to connect fine on the server or any other work station. Only issue is when connecting with this machine.

Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Thank you all for the reply. I noticed that the user account was pointing to different AX instance (Old server). Thanks for a lot for the support.

You need to check AX client configuration for this user or you can simply check the config in local machines registry.

Configuration is stored in the registry, and that user account might be pointing to a different AX instance/server. Validate his registry settings, or pin a fixed AX Configuration file from a network share on the AX shortcut that is available for all users.

    Hi,

Try refreshing the client configuration with the user and see if receive any error upon the refreshing.

    Best,

    Uday.

Please double check that both users are starting the client by using the same configuration file (.axc).

Your description indicates that the users are using different configuration files and the other configuration file is pointing to a non-existent AOS.
