IND GST Settlement in D365 F&O

Hi !!

While trying to Settle and post tax for my legal entity i keep getting the error as "Tax adjustment – settlement account does not exist."

What am i Missing for the function to work

This error usually means that the settlement account for tax adjustments has not been configured in your legal entity. Valdiate your setup at Tax > Setup > Sales tax (or VAT)> Ledger posting groups. Look for settlement account values there.

Hi,
Please verify the following:

Tax > Setup > Sales tax > Sales tax ledger posting groups – Ensure the Tax settlement/adjustment account is configured.

Verify that the Sales tax code is linked to the correct Sales tax ledger posting group.

Confirm that the referenced ledger account exists and is active.

To solve this navigate to General ledger > Posting setup > Accounts for automatic transactions & map the GL for Tax adjustment - settlement.
