Hello,
Our technicians experience a lot of issues in the field service mobile app. Unexpected error when wanting to consume a product, the offline doesn't work ok data won't be displayed and each time we need to choose the user and press reconfigure and then it seems like it load back. Can someone please explain how the offline should look like?
Often they get kicked back to the booking page,
Any idea why these issues appear for the Field Service Mobile App and do you have any experience on how you solved your problems with it?
Hi,
I have seen this error due to the configuration of the Work Order Form on the Booking record. The issue you may be facing could be due to the bindings of the form not configured correctly. I had faced a similar issue and was resolved by this:
Select Edit (pencil icon) and on the Configure Property dialog box select Bind to a static value and then add an XML entry similar to this where TableName is the table unique name and FormID is the form ID for the main form:<QuickForms><QuickFormIds><QuickFormId entityname="TableName">FormID</QuickFormId></QuickFormIds></QuickForms>
For example, to render the Contact main form on the account form, use: <QuickForms><QuickFormIds><QuickFormId entityname="contact">1fed44d1-ae68-4a41-bd2b-f13acac4acfa</QuickFormId></QuickFormIds></QuickForms>
Configure the form component control.
Follow the article below which points to the binding that is expected for it to work.
docs.microsoft.com/.../form-component-control
Hope this helps.

Exactly, as i thought. Okay, in online mode works fine, but when using offline, it's throws "unexpected error" each time i want to open WO services/product in the phone.
Thanks
FSM.
You can consume work order products in offline mode. I'm not sure of the issue you're experiencing. What mobile device/devices are you using? Do you have the sync filters set up properly (assuming this isn't a filter issue, but want to be sure). Does everything work fine on the mobile IF you are not using offline mode (meaning remove the user from the offline profile).
Will you be able to help me with which mobile app are you using? (Legacy Xamarin app or the new FSM app)
Yes, but Products and WO products are two different things? Shouldn't they be able to consume their products and finalize their work while at customer location with offline?
Sounds weird, thanks for your help!
Please refer to the following documentation about the available commands of entities in offline mode.
Mobile offline capabilities and limitations (Dynamics 365 apps) | Microsoft Docs
It states that the Product entity can only be Read.
So you cannot "consume" a product in offline mode.
Hi CEklx
1. What FSM App are you using and are you using the latest version of the App?https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/field-service/mobile-power-app-get-started
2. I've incluced the "Configure offline capabilities in the Field Service (Dynamics 365) mobile app" article which includes Implementation guidance for the offline profile:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/field-service/mobile-power-app-system-offline
3. With regards to Offline and data no being displayed, I would initially have a look at the offline sync filters as this may be one cause of the issue you're reporting:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/field-service/mobile-power-app-system-offline#sync-intervals Offline sync filters: If a record is created from the device while in offline mode, and that record does not meet filter conditions, then the record does not get resynchronized from the service until conditions are met.
4. With regards to the "Unexpected error" when wanting to consume a product. Can you enable tracing so that we can obtain more information re the unexpected error as well as providing me navigation steps that lead to this experience? The trace should provide some additional information to help use troubleshoot this component.
I'm not sure which FS mobile App you are using so haven't included instructions but if you can enable tracing, that should help with more information.
5. I've also included the following the 5 tips for implementing the Field Service (Dynamics 365) mobile app article as this may also be helpful moving forward: https://cloudblogs.microsoft.com/dynamics365/it/2021/04/21/5-tips-for-implementing-the-field-service-dynamics-365-mobile-app/
Let's build from here and thanks for reviewing the above and letting me know what more I can provide from my side based on the information you provide me.
