Full menu / function on WMS app

Hi,

I have enabled <Allow Splitting of Work> parameter at mobile device menu item for both SO Pick and PO receive however Full menu is visible or available during Sales picking work only. I don't get Full menu when I am doing a PO put away work.

Is full functionality not supported for PO put way or PO receive class?

    Full option is indeed used for "real" picking activities only. What is your exact scenario during PO putaway where you would like to use a kind of full logic for?

    Here is my scenario -

    Goods arrive in boxes only (or un palletized).

    Example: item A has unit conversation as 1 box = 10 ea and PO line has qty 200 ea and I m using LP grouping while receiving goods so after receiving stock of 200 ea, I have single PO put away work for 20 boxes

    While doing pick step of this PO put away work I want to use full option in WMS app so that I pick boxes as I can and remaining boxes can be picked as part of separate work.

    Please suggest.

    I think the below setup might work in your scenario. In your example you will register the pallet via the mobile device. After this PO putaway work will be created for 20 boxes if you use the below setup. A new SSCC label per box can subsequently be defined as part of the putaway flow.

    Hi,

    That's not what I am after, using above setup will create multiple works each per box. I could have achieved that easily by NOT using License plate grouping at box level.

    I want single work line for 20 boxes and while picking I want flexibility to pick any # no. of boxes (using FULL) and remaining as a separate work.

    Is Full option not supported for PO put way?

    Hi Latik, 

    By means of activating the "Allow splitting of work" parameter via the mobile device menu item the full button will be available during for instance sales order picking operations. For purchase order putaway activities the full button will indeed not be available/is not supported. Due to this behavior and based on your scenario I was suggesting earlier to break the work by box so you can use the user grouping or cluster putaway feature later on for instance. 

    May I ask where the number of boxes that will be picked from receiving will be based on? Does it depend on the equipment the warehouse worker use for the putaway or does it also depends on the putaway location for instance?

    Well, that's what I had thought. Thanks for confirmation.

    So now when FULL option is not supported for PO Put Away then we would need to work around it.

    My requirement for no. of boxes will be based upon equipment (Forklift) and I don't want o fix no. of boxes per Work as box size or items in it may differ (i.e. item A - box of 10; item b - box of 20). That's why I wanted to have a flexibility with Worker to decide / pick boxes as they fit on forklift and for remaining boxes system to automatically create a Work.

    Any further suggestion from you would be appreciated.

    The "Full button" capability is unfortunately only available for outbound warehouse app processing.
