MRP incomplete explosion

Hi all,

I'm facing an issue with MRP. I'm running a regenerative master plan for whole items and there are certain products that are not being fully exploded on their bom levels.

I took one product for example. That product has 3 raw materials and 1 semi-finished product on its bom lines. The three raw materials were exploded however the semi-finished product wasn't.

My master plan has the "explosion" check box checked and the field filled with '10' (days) on the "Time fences" tab.

Up to know, i need to re-run the master plan with the principle set to "net changed". That time the explosion is full done.

Is there any way to get the full explosion on the first regenerative run? Am I missing some setup?

Have you found any more information about this issue? We have the same problem on some items. We also run regenerative plans and some boms just don't explode correctly. I have not tried running a Net Change plan to correct them, but if I open the planned order and run Update Explosion, they then update correctly. Do you have any new information to share?

You would really need to post an example, along with the BOM setup and the coverage group settings.

When you recalculate an item from the net requirements form (ReqCalcScheduleItem) you are prompted with "Recalculate BOM" as well. I can not find this parameter in the standard master planning (ReqCalcScheduleItemTable), so I guess you have to include the bom items as well.
