LinkedIn Integration - Your feedback is appreciated

Posted on by

Hello Community,

I am the new PM for the area of social marketing including LinkedIn Lead Gen Form and Matched Audiences integration. I am in the process of ramping up and learning what we have and where we should be with that area in D365 Marketing.

I would love to hear from your experience what works well, what we should improve and what we should add in the area of social marketing.

Looking forward to your responses and working with you in the future.

Thank you

Victor Stehmann

    Hi Victor,

A few bits from conversations I have had today (sorry these are completely random and not interdependent )

    Social Integration with Teams

(I thought this was on the road map, but haven't heard or seen anything recently, so I might have just made it up and convinced myself it was happening..)

    > @SanjayKanani had a great use case in this thread today

Whatsapp or Text Messaging custom channel / customer journey tile.

    > Customer journey tiles for Twitter, Facebook

Especially Twitter where you can DM people directly if they have allowed anybody to message them.

    > LinkedIn Matched Audience works nicely and is so easy to set up. However, I would suggest some changes to the documentation in this area. I think we indeed should make people aware that it could incur extra charges, etc but I think the wording is actually putting people off from even trying (which they could do for free). I am writing a blog on it at the moment.

    > Anything to do with social posts sentiment analysis

This is something customers do ask us about regularly.

That's all for today. I will keep adding as conversations happen and remind me of what else.

    Thank,

    -DD

Hey Victor welcome on board. I haven't had much chance to look at the LinkedIn integration as it requires extra licensing and cost which I don't have access to however in terms of

"what we should improve and what we should add in the area of social marketing" I have afew requests there is so many gaps of functionality when compared with the like of close competitors such as ClickDimensions

    • Insights into social posts
      • how many people have liked my facebook post, what comments have been added, how many reshared, how many views
      • how many people have retweeted my Tweet, who has mentioned my company, who has use my companys hashtag/tag(s)
    • Instagram social posting
    • Support for # and @ when doing social posts from Dynamics

Happy to chat further on this and get this moving, anything I can do to help

  • RE: LinkedIn Integration - Your feedback is appreciated

    Thanks DD,

I am looking for all kind of feedback.

    Hi Victor,

Concepts in Dynamics 365 for Marketing are bold font

    > LinkedIn Lead Gen Form:

    1. Dynamics 365 for Marketing application will sync leads data which were generated from LinkedIn Lead Gen Form into CRM as Leads records automatically.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/manage-customer-information#use-leads-to-register-and-track-expressions-of-interest

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/market-to-leads

    2. You could build a matching strategy that during the process

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/linkedin-configuration#configure-a-strategy-to-match-incoming-linkedin-leads-to-existing-leads

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/mkt-settings-matching

    Matched Audiences

    1. You could create a static segment in Dynamics 365 to save Matched Audiences in Linkedin as members in a segment record.

Then, when you run a campaign on LinkedIn, you can target the same segments that you set up in Dynamics 365 Marketing and also turn any leads generated on LinkedIn into Dynamics 365 leads.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/linkedin-lead-gen-integration

    In addition:

    1. Your could build a Customer Journey for your contacts(nurtured leads) and let them go through with LinkedIn campaign and make other Dynamics 365 campaign activity(Marketing email, Marketing page, Phone call, Task, Appointment etc) for them in the journey.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/customer-journey-tiles-reference#linkedin-campaign

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/create-simple-customer-journey

    2. If you would like to make Dynamics 365 campaign activities for leads generated from Linkedin, you should convert them to contact records to build customer journey for them

    Summary:

Lead, matching strategy, segment, contact, customer journey, campaign activity

    Clofly
