Is there a better/faster way to search for something in AOT. For example, if I want to find out where PurchaseOrderConfirmationRequest is referenced in all classes in AOT, what is the best/fastest way to do that. I'm using the Metadata search, but it is taking forever.
Hi NoDozing,
If the object you are searching for is an object that already exists in AOT, such as a class or table, form, you can search for it and use "Find references".
But if it is just some objects or methods referenced in your code, I think metadata search is more complete and the most effective method.
Hi NoDozing2,
if you use metadata search the system searches the local *.xml Files in the PackagesLocalDirectory-Folder.
If you have admin rights (not on a sandbox-system but with a cloud hosted enviroment) you can add this folder to the search index (winaero.com/.../) which will improve the search time.
Best wishes, Petra
