Hi Everyone,

I am having trouble while uploading purchase order with 4000 line items, once i start processing it takes around 10 hours to complete the job, and time can exceed as per users load on server.

One more thing i am using ax default upload functionality for uploading PO.

Any suggestions on this.

How to minimized this time frame i have around 20 purchase orders on daily, and its very much impossible to enter lines. Using AX 2012 CU7

I have seen a performance problem on AX 2012 before when the master planning needed to create purchase orders with a large number of lines. I don't know how it was solved. It was fixed by some others on that project. It's about 2.5 years ago.

The best you can do is monitor the process with e.g. the Trace parser to see which parts do have a long duration time. Then you might be able to find the culprit and solve it.

    Hi Sohail,

May I know what do you mean by default upload functionality for uploading PO and where it is in AX?

    Thanks,

    Baber.

    Hi there,

Finally got the answer, Navigate to Accounts payable module go to parameters select update click update order lines, and popup will open (default every value is "prompt") i changed it to never and the 4000 lines PO took 15 minutes.

Now we are charges allocation is done at PO header level instead of line items and it also minimized the calculation, at the time of allocation.

Baber you can always upload PO using DynamixAX excel add in tool, but I was using our custom upload utility for this.

I suggest you should utilize DMF for uploading Purchase order with large number of lines

Please verify and let me know if you need any support utilizing DMF in Dynamics AX 2012
