Hello all,

I am facing a strange problem.

When i filter a table record with the same rec id, on table is shows this record: for the recid = 5637320272 the field svp_dtUscita = 16/09/2021 12:53:11

When i connect to SQL server management and i create a query , on the same environment database, with the same recid 5637320272 on this table, it shows the time 10:53:11.

Does this happens because of different time zones? the table takes value from an external system.

Why the value of time in sql query is different from the table? I am working on ax2012

Thank you in advance

Date time values in database are in UTC, while value in GUI are displayed (typically) in user's preferred time zone.

    Hi Martin,

    Thanks for the answer.

The users preferred time zone is GMT(+1,Viena,Amsterdam..etc). Why is this difference of 2 hours? Maybe is the fault of the external system that this table takes value?

There is summer time in Vienna and Amsterdam on 16th September, therefore the actual timezone is CEST (UTC+2), not CET (UTC+1).

    Hi Martin,

    Thanks again,

And if i want the value of time and date, to be same as sql server ? what should i change?

    thanks :)

Do you mean seeing all values in that way? If so, change the preferred timezone to (GMT) Coordinated Universal Time.

If you want to change the behavior just of an individual form control, you can set its Timezone preference property to NoConversion.
