SL FP1 Client Install - Win 7 64 bit

I have an existing installation and am trying to install the client on two new workstations.   After installing the client, I am trying to install the hotfix to correct the issue with customization and the swimapi.dll.

When I try install to install it will not let me replace the swimapi.dll in the Syswow64 folder.  I have tried moved the the UAC to the lowest level, copying the swimapi from another workstation does not work, I uninstalled and reinstalled probably 15 times, I have tried under the user name, administrator, domain adminstrator, and tried everything I can think of.

The one big difference I know between the existing machines and the new ones is the .net framework on thew ones is 4.0.  Does anyone know if I need to uninstall .net 4.0 and install 3.51.

Thanks for your help.

    Hi Charlene,

What error are you getting and what hot-fix are you trying to install?  Also, did you install the C++ Redistributable?  It might be necessary in order to install the hot-fix.  If it is needed, it will say in the installation instructions.

Trying to apply H703_20391SY.  I am able to apply H703_19552SY.  I did apply the C++ Redistributable, did not receive any errors when doing this, however, when I look in Programs and Features I see 4 versions of the C++ so not sure what that means.
