Print Margins in SSRS Report

I am facing a strange issue with Canada Cheque report printout. The margins appears perfectly while looking into PDF version of report. However, once you take printout of it, printer apply some margin by default into the output and cut out the starting characters of data.

Kindly see the attached screenshot below.

Green box indicates the correct output of data in PDF viewer and the Red box indicates the margin assumed by the printer cutting off initial characters.

    Hi Afnan,

What is the current left and right margin defined for the report? Try to increase the left and right margins to see if it makes any difference in the printer output.

    Thanks,

    Baber.

Current Left margin is 0.16pt and Right Margin is 0pt. The issue is it appears perfectly in PDF, but it does not while printing.

Is it the default margin on the report or have you changed it? I have normally seen the margins set as 0.5 inch for both left and right on standard reports. I would suggest to change the margin and see what's the output on printer.

    Thanks,

    Baber.

I have changed it due to client requirement. The problem is that whenever I reduce the margin from 0.16 inch from left it appears correctly on PDF viewer. However, while printing it put some margin on left and cuts few characters.

I got your point and by looking at the image, I want to see what happens if you increase the left margin from 0.16 to say 0.20 or 0.22 in. Would it still cut in that case or not?

    Thanks,

    Baber.

No in that case it prints fine. However, my issue is I have to start printing from left less than 0.16 in which is not happening.

    Hi Afnan,

Have you tried it with other out of the box reports? If other reports behaving the same way when printed, then this might be the default print margin when the report are getting printed and you might not be able to do much about this.

    Thanks,

    Baber.
