How To Calculate Quantity Sale Not Post

ReportReport

Hello everyone, I'm doing a warehouse report. I need the quantity of items in stock, however the Dynamic NAV ERP system my company is using allows for post-shift closing, which means selling before inventory is available. Now I need to calculate the items sold but not yet posted and the Value Entries table. For example, it is now July, my company has only finished its shift until the end of June. The data of items sold from the beginning of July until now has not been posted because the shift has not ended yet. However, I need to calculate the exact number of items in stock. Is there a way to get a list of items that have been sold but haven't been posted yet?

Hi, Another approach is to move in and out of a specialized LOCATION. Inventory that has been sold and not yet posted is moved to this LOCATION first, so that quantities can be easily counted.

Hope this can give you some hints.
    Thanks.

based on your current processes, it would be challenging to run an accurate report for a month that hasn't been closed. I guess the user keeps track of qty of items that should have been shipped/invoiced? If so, you could manually deduct the sum of shipped but unposted qty of items for the report.

Do you change the status of a sales order once the inventory is sold but not shipped? For example do you change the status from open to released? If you do that, then you can built the report to look at the sales lines table for all lines where the order status is released.

Alternatively, I would look into changing your process because its not the most accurate to ship inventory but not mark it as shipped in the system.
