Situation: we have been using D365 Sales & Customer Service on prem for years and have now recently migrated to D365 online. And we would like to start using Customer Insights. Our Dataverse Contacts table contains more than a million contacts from our B2C business, which we do not plan to include in the Customer Insights Journeys - we only want to use it for our B2B business.
Question #1: will those 1M Contacts automatically be counted as People Unified (causing a huge license cost increase) or can we set certain filter criteria to determine which Contacts will be included in the 100K People Unified in the Customer Insights license?
Question #2: if we only work with Customer Insights Journeys, do we then even need to cosnider/worry about People Unified?
The new base Customer Insights license allows you to have 100,000 unified people at the tenant level for use with the Customer Insights - Data app to unify.
If you have more than this number of unique contacts, then an additional Unified People package will need to be purchased.
People Unified supports Customer Insights-Data.
In the case of Customer Insights-Journeys it uses People Interacted.
