How to send an email notification on leave and absence workflow?

Hi everyone, to give you some context I'd like to send an email notification of leave and absence approval to the employee responsible for approving it .

I have configured the positions (who the worker is and who it reports to), I've enabled all email settings and I've managed to allow the employees which are reported to, to approve time-off requests. However, I'd like to enable a email notification (and not just an in-app notification) to the manager (the person that has to approve).

While playing around the workflow builder I found a section that you can configure who the notification gets sent to, but I only get 2 options, the workflow originator and owner (and I believe none of these are the ones I'm looking for).

Is there a way to configure the workflow notification to be sent to the person that has to approve it? If yes, how?

Using the workflow originator will use the appropriate user in the hierarchy and send the email. You'll also need to have the users that should be getting email set their workflow options to Send notifications in email.

I would like to correct the first reply. Using 'Workflow originator' sends a notification to exactly that, not the approver.

To send an eamil notification to the approver, it is only necessary for the approver to have their email notifications turned on in their user options. It is not necessary to specify anything in workflow.
