Hello.
Trying to load bank statement file in camt.053 format, the process fails when there are special language characters like Ñ in ESPAÑA. if you replace it with N, the process works fine.
Did anyone come across a localisation fix for it? Western and Eastern European countries have lots of special characters. So there should be a fix for it.
Regards
Khalid
You are welcome! :-)
Hi Anton.
you were right. The file encoding was set to ANSI and when i resaved it as UTF-8 and reload the file, it worked.
Thank you so much
regards
Hi Khalid,
You can check the actual encoding of the file with Notepad++. This can be some other encoding than what is specified by the text of the XML. So, in your case, the file encoding should be UTF-8 like in the screenshot below. If it's not, you can convert it UTF-8 to test it.
The encoding on the statement is UTF-8 , so it should have worked .
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
Need to look if there anything else need to be setup to get this working.
Hi,
That's suprising because Dynamics 365 Finance can and should handle those characters without any issues.
I was curious, what encoding is used in the camt.053 files that are provided to you? Perhaps the encoding of the files is causing an issue. If it's UTF-8 or Windows-1252 it should work fine. You can check it using it using a tool like Notepad++.
