Registration user to an event

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to create events to send to users to register them within the CRM. I'd like all event participants to be saved as Leads. However, I notice that the CRM, in addition to creating a Lead, also creates a Contact.
Is there a way to work around this and prevent the creation of the Contact?
Thank you.

    Hi,

Currently there is no way to relate event registrations to leads. They are always connected to a contact. The lead that is created is linked to this specific contact via parentcontactid field.

I would not suggest to remove the contact after creation, because in that case you are also removing the relationship between the form/ eventregistration and the contact, so as well to the lead.

    Succes!

Can you elaborate on your question?
1.What does the event link refer to?
2.What does input different data mean?
3.What do you mean by desired outcome?
If it's easier for you, you can attach a screenshot.

    Best regards,

Thank you for your response, but I also need another help. Is there a way to link the event link to a contact? So that I cannot input different data from mine. The desired outcome would be where the contact simply receives an accept or decline to register for the event.

    Hi,

We have conducted tests and found that your needs may not be achievable, the reasons are as follows:
    1. The registration involves the form matching rules, the system checks to see if any existing contacts have the submitted e-mail address. If a match is found, the submission is used to update the contact; if no match is found, a new contact is created using the values received.

we try to delete the contact matching rule, but after the deletion of the system will also be forced to create a new contact record.

    2. Then we go to the event registration form and find that this audience can only be the contact and not switched to the lead, so we also can't create a separate lead.

Therefore you can only delete the created contacts yourself, if you don't want to delete them manually, you can automate the deletion of contacts by using the flow method.

    Best regards,
    Hugh Cui
