Hi,
We shipped a Stock transfer on 05/03/2020 and received on 13/03/2020.
when noticed , both the shipment and received dates are same as 05/03/2020, whereas the posting date was 13/03/2020.
Then what is the difference between the Receive date and posting date.
Will the dates will be same between the shipment and receive
When Tried to change the receive date, system shows an error " InventCustTrans:Date" already record exists
please explain

Can you share more information about this transfer order? What operations have you done on it, are there any customizations?
Yes, even if you set the parameters about ship date and receipt date, you can still change the receipt date.The system will pop up the simulate date form, you can choose to disable the date control. Please create a new order and test it.

Thanks for the reply.
I tried to change the date of receive to 13/03/2020, and the system shows an error " invent Trans date already exist".
then i tried to post without changing the date and system accepted and transfer order got posted
if we mention the transit days and other details in the parameters, will the system allows to change the receive date...

Hi Sriram GS，
When you create a stock transfer, the shipped date is based on delivery date control (AR parameters -->Shipments), and the receipt date is equal to the ship date plus transport day( Inventory management -->set up -->distribution -->transport ).
The posting date has nothing to do with the the ship and receipt date. And you can change them before receiving the item.

Do you transport things on a vessel that takes several days until it arrives at the destination?
Would be be great if you could elaborate because there might be alternative ways how to record this transfer.
