How to invite and deploy F&O package on client's environment ?

Hello,

We have developed our solution for D365 F&O and currently it is available on app source. We have also deployed that package on our environment through LCS.

My question is if we sell this solution to some organization then how they will get our solution on their LCS and deploy on their environment ? I know something like we have to invite them to our LCS solution but didn't get proper documentation or steps.

Can anyone please share the steps to give them access to our solution and then deployment steps on their environment.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Rami Pratik,

The vendors/ ISVs we have worked with have not provided us access to their LCS project. They have mostly provided us with models/deployable package of their solutions, which we had to integrate into our customers' source control . You can check this link for the deployment steps your customers will need to follow to include your solution into their code repository.

    Gunjan Bhattachayya ,

Thanks for reply. What you suggested seems manual process where we have to give package via mail or drive or something like that. But I think there should be some automated way by Microsoft. I don't think people do this manually.

    Hi Pratik,

We have seen most vendors upload the files on their website. I haven't come across an automated way of sharing these. I am not sure if that will be possible as these packages will need be included during build process to generate a single deployment package which will be deployed to the client environment(s).

    Hi Rami,

If you have your solution on AppSource approved, then you should have a Solution page yourself on LCS. If you publish a version, you can choose between 'Organization' and 'Global'. If you choose Global, you can grant access to customers who can then uptake the latest version and will get notifications in case you publish a new version. You can do this with the button Manage access on the solution page. Customers who are not granted access will not be able to copy the deployable packages to their own LCS project.

Thanks Andre, Got the solution access management window.
