Item By Vendor and Location

Posted on by 68
Hi:

Is it possible to "tie" or "track" an inventory item by both vendor and location?

Thanks!

If you want to track inventory levels in each location based on the vendor it was purchased from, there isn't a straightforward out-of-the-box report or page available.

But you can use the Item Ledger Entries page and check the remaining quantity field. The source number field corresponds to your vendor number. This works out of the box without requiring any customization.

Depending on what the user needs. If user needs to tracking the qty of remaining qty of an item at certain location, value entries don't directly answer the question.

    Hello,

You can use the data from the Value Entries page for item, quantity, Vendor and Location.

As it is raw data, you need to create a pivot table to sum them up and get the remaining quantity.

Alternatively, you can use the Item Ledger Entries page if you do not need a back-dated report.

Not sure on which page or table you need to tie the info together. If from item ledger entries, I don't see vendor available as out of box filter. You may consider add it as customization, then filter by location and vendor
