Electronic Reporting- How to Hard code a value on the new field without doing Format Mapping

Hello Everyone,

I have created a new configuration derived from the ISO Format available in the MS repository. As per the bank spec, I could see all the nodes are available in the template, but for some reason, when I generate the file, those tags are not reflecting on the payment file. Also, I am trying to hard code value on few fields, apparently that is also not working even I set the node to mandatory.

Could anyone suggest how to proceed with this ?

Thank You!

Regards

Madhuri

Can you add some screen shots about what you are trying to do  e.g report you are using to generate file etc. , Its very difficult to understand about what you did from the above description.

    Hi Sukrut,

In the below screenshot, I have Nodes  BIC,clrsysMmbid avaialble in the shared template. But when I generate the payment file , I could only see the tag BIC. Infact I have done the same mapping for the node clrsysMmbid as BIC, Still the XML tag is not reflecting in Payment File,

    2. For some fields, instead of mapping the table. I just want to hard code a value.so that every time I generate the file, I am supposed to get the same value. I have configured as below.

    Hello Madhuri21,

Can you click the mapping tab on the right-hand side of your last scrreenprint?

Doing this should change the icons that you see in the format designer.

What you should see is a pen symbol that says 'edit formula'

Clicking this should allow you to hard code things as you like.

For this string element you can add something like "ABC" or whatever you need ; just make sure that you use double quote symbols.

The change the status of your ER to complete and test again.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Thanks Ludwig! I was able to set the value as suggested. Deleting the existing tags and recreating actually made the tags to reflect on the payment file.

Now I have completed the configuration, is there any way I could export the config from my local repository to any other environment.

    Hello Madhuri21,

If your local configuration has the status completed then you can export it.

To do this, select the version line, select the exchange button and then say export as XML file.

Do this for the model, the model mapping and the configuration.

Once you have those XML files, go to your other environment and select the exchange button on the very top of the electronic reporting workspace.

Select load from XML file and then import the model, model mapping and configuration one after the other and in this sequence!

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
