    Hi

There are few options to migrate on-prem 2011 to D365 online but i would recommend you use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fastrack program.

    dynamics.microsoft.com/.../

    www.microsoft.com/.../faqs

Once you signed up for, Microsoft will assign a PM to work with you and the migration is managed via LCS portal.

As part of this process, you will be asked to backup your 2011 DB and upload it to a blob storage.  Once you uploaded, as part of the upgrade process, MS will create VMs to upgrade to 2013 first and then to 2015 and finally to V9.

Since your Org DB is upgraded as part of this process you do not need to worry about solutions being managed or dont even have to worry about data migration at all and the service is free.

You could also have a look at one of my previous responses related to fastrack : https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/microsoft-dynamics-crm-forum/350377/how-to-migrate-crm-2015-onprem-customer-to-online-d365-using-fasttrack-approach/936047#936047

    Hope this helps

    Hello Ram,

    Hope you are well.

Agree with Kokulan, Fasttrack program is excellent option, however, we need to keep in mind the eligible scenarios described on this article:
    https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/partners/fasttrack

If Fasttrack is not option to your company, would say to contact a partner and prepare a migration plan, considering the migration path and all party integrations as well.

    Regards,

    Hi, Ram!

There are few variants to organize such migration.

    1. Use this relatively new tool (suiitable for all cases): uds.systems/.../data-migration-tool

It was designed with a purpose to automatically migrate data from on-premise to the cloud.

Check the tutorial before using the tool. It might prevent you from common issues that usually occur:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxDO8o_u1-o

    2. Regarding the article: https://cutt.ly/DfcGZaU

If your organization has a combined annual adjusted revenue of $300,000 or more, then you will be eligible for FastTrack, and basically, Microsoft will help you to get updated and move to online directly from your current on-premise version. Of course, it could require developers' involvement from your side to solve the compatibility issue during the upgrade process with Microsoft.

    3. If your organization is smaller, perhaps you might require assistance (Visit:
    https://uds.systems/)

    Stages of the process:
    - Migrate/re-create your customizations, custom code, reports, etc. to Dynamics 365 Online
    - Migrate all data from the existing environment to Online (you continue using the existing system)
    - During some weekend migrate delta (only changed data)
    - From now you will start using a new Online environment.

I hope everything will turn out smoothly =)
And if you have already finished the migration, please share how. I am interested in your opinion on the process and results =)
