After performing a model store import, labels are no longer recognized in SSRS reports. Is there a setting or a step I need to perform in order to restore this?

Labels are stored in the database, but also in the file system on each AOS in .ald files (and corresponding .alc and .ali files).  Each AOS is supposed to keep its .ald label files in sync with the database, but I find this is easily broken by database backup/restore operations, and I suspect model store restores as well.

If you stop the AOS and rename the existing .alc, .ald, and .ali files, they should be recreated fresh on the next AOS restart.  Once recreated, your labels might work again in SSRS (after restarting that service as well, of course).

The files have the format axZZZen-us.ald, where ZZZ is the label file name, and en-us the language.

They are typically stored under the AOS server's bin\Application\Appl\Standard directory.

We are evaluating our model store import process. Rolling back the import has fixed the problem for now. We are not sure why the label files weren't brought in correctly.

We have had strange things like this happen to us as well (with our automated builds), but with the labels not even showing up in the AX client (let alone SSRS). The only reliable way we found is to delete all the label file artifacts (.alc .ald .ali) in the server/application/appl/<name> folder. In certain strange scenarios we've even had to do a "Label::Flush" command from an X++ job.

If your issue is solely on the SSRS side, I'm not sure.
