I have started testing the Customer Service Team Member App and out of the box it only shows Knowledge Search and Cases. There is no link to Contacts. I have added Contacts to the app and Site map but I cannot search for a contact. I get an error "UciError: You do not have {0} permission to access {1} records. Contact your Microsoft Dynamics 365 administrator for help.". Is this expected behaviour. I can't see anywhere that you can search for Contacts any longer

Probably an obvious question, but does the user you are testing with have security roles with rights to contacts?
The Customer Service Team Memeber App is for Employee Self-Service ONLY you cannot use it for Cases for customers. So for example one of the empoyees has an issue with their work laptop and want's to raise a case with their IT Department.

I don't think it's true.
What? this completely doesn't make any sense???
Have a read of docs.microsoft.com/.../team-members-license. This describes the position in detail.
I have summarized the license guides Team member info here : iiu.dk/.../
with a Team member you are allowed to
-Use Search and advanced find
but you are only allowed to Create, update and delete own Case and read Knowledge Articles.
