Default Report Margins

ReportReport

Hi,

We have a report in AX with the Margins set to a Fixed Width.  The report works fine for all Users except on one PC where it either cuts off the text at the end of report when it prints or moves the text down to the next line.

On further investigation when I go to the Report Design on that PC I see that the Left Margin is 6.01cm, and if I try to change it to something smaller it does not let me, this appears to be the minimum width.  If I try the same thing on my PC the minimum is 4.36cm.  My question is where is it getting this Margin Width setting from, is it in AX or somewhere else?

I checked in the UserInfo Table under ReportLeftMargin field, but there are no values entered here and entering a value has no affect to the behaviour just described.

Any ideas?

    Hi Elliott,

Set the 'Left Margin' property value to Auto. Hope it works.

    Kind Regards,

    Azami

Yes, I tried that but it did not work.

I actually fixed the problem by setting the Fit to Page property to "Yes".

But I am just curious to know where the default minimum Margin setting comes from, anybody?

just change the default printer in the control panel, then you will see the margin has been changed, if you make xps documents as default printer then the minimum margin will zero.

by default all A4 SIZE Printers are with minimum margin (4.24\4.36) .

its too late now, but i hope it will help others.
