Hi. We have a regular cycle set up and in use. We now want to undertake a full warehouse stock take and want to use the cycle count functionality. We have stuck an issue though. When we create a cycle count by location for a warehouse, with all aisles, racks etc., D365 generates a cycle count work list with one unique work creation number by with multiple work ids. The multiple work ids with a hand held barcode device is not conducive to a smooth count from one location/aisle/rack to the next and so on. We assume that this may be any issue for the hand held barcode device software; however, it would make sense to the count flow if there was just one work id for for the location/aisle being counted. Is the allocation of work IDs parameter driven? Can we specify one ID for the group of items being planned to count? Cheers. James.
try using counting threshold based on item or location that way one work is generated either for one location / one item
