Hi all

I am using the Manufacturing execution to report on jobs. I want to update the status the production order to be Reported as finished when the last job are finished. What is the setup to fix this?

Hello Erik, In Manufacturing execution, the status of a production order does not automatically change to Reported as finished when the last job is completed unless specific setup parameters are enabled. This behavior is controlled by the Manufacturing execution configuration and Production control parameters.
🧩 Key Setup Steps

Enable automatic RAF Navigate to Production control > Setup > Manufacturing execution > Manufacturing execution parameters. Under the General tab, enable the option Report as finished when last operation is completed.

Check route operation setup Ensure that the last operation in the route is flagged as Route operation = Last. The system uses this marker to determine when the production order can be closed.

Validate job completion reporting In the Job registration setup, confirm that Automatic RAF is enabled for the last job. This ensures that when the worker reports the final job as finished, the production order status updates accordingly.

Confirm production floor execution configuration If you are using Production floor execution (PFE), check the execution screen setup. The Report progress or Report as finished control must be included in the layout for the last job.

Review quantity reporting The system requires that the Good quantity reported in the last job matches the remaining quantity of the production order. If partial quantities remain, the order will not automatically move to Reported as finished.

⚙️ Recommended Process Flow

Configure Manufacturing execution parameters with Report as finished when last operation is completed.

Mark the final route operation as Last.

Ensure workers report the last job with the correct quantity.

The system will automatically update the production order status to Reported as finished.

💡Additional Note
If you want the system to also post the RAF journal automatically, enable Automatic posting under Production control parameters > Report as finished. Otherwise, the order will move to Reported as finished but still require manual journal posting.
