Production Wave created and picked but no work created

I'm stuck in a deadlock here. Can anyone suggest how to proceed

Scenario:

· I released production order to warehouse, the wave got created and it got picked automatically. But, there is no work created for this

· Processing History in wave shows that for few production orders picking was done and for few it failed 'The total quantity for production BOM XXXXXXX could not be fulfilled'. Please note there is sufficient inventory for the items here

· Now when I go to those picked production orders, there is no record/transaction of this picking

· I cannot delete this wave and try again as the status is in picked state (without any work)

· When tried again with production orders, they are getting released properly and work created there, even for those same set of items above

Hi Amitt - If you have enough on hand inventory (possibly from previous production orders) sitting in your staging location then no work will be created to pick those items.
