When I get to step #7, I click the dropdown arrow on the left tree menu for "Customer Insights Journeys". I expect to see the list of tables (same as the picture in step #7), instead I get an error on the main pane that says:
"Unable to Load - This Dataverse environment does not appear to be configured for use with fabric. Follow these instructions to setup dataverse"
I've already established the link and I can see the other tables under CDS2. So I know the link is established.
I also created a new workspace and I'm using premium cap.
Questions:
1. Why am I getting this error?
2. Why does CI-J engagement tables require this extra step of creating a shortcut?
You're getting the error because CI-J Real-time data isn't in standard Dataverse—it uses a separate data lake.
You must manually create a Fabric shortcut to the CI-J data folder to access opens/sends/clicks in Fabric or Power BI.
