Having issues with remote debugging in AX2012

Hi all,

I am currently working with Microsoft on an issue we are having with a hotfix they gave us, and they want me to remotely debug a batch job using Visual Studio. I've seen plenty about this online and have set up my development server to allow for remote debugging, but when I attempt to attach to the Ax32Serv.exe process, it is grayed out like so:

Can anyone give me a suggestion on how to connect to this process? I am not running the service with my credentials...when I attempt to do so, the service will not load. I am running the remote debugging monitor and visual studio as an administrator, so rights shouldn't be a problem.

Any help with this would be very appreciated.

    Hi

    On attach to option, try to choose :

    1- Managed (v4.5, v4.0) code

    2- Managed Compatibility Mode

    Denis,

    Managed Compatibility Mode doesn't appear to be an option with me. I already have it set to Managed v4.0 and it is still gray.

    Which version and CU of AX are you using ?

    For instance, If you have AX 2012 R3 CU8, you have to use VS 2013 with Remote Tools for Microsoft Visual Studio 2013

    AX 2012 R2 CU8. We are forced to use Visual Studio 2010.
