API Documentation for Dynamics 365 on-prems 8.2

I've been recently tasked with building a POC to access the on-prems server running version 8.2 via its API. I was looking for documentation on how to find the API endpoint and how to authenticate but could not find anything.

As I'm new to this product so I don't even know if there is such a thing on the version 8.2.

Would anyone please point me to these documentations?

Hey!

Currently most documentation points to v9.0 and 9.1. However, there are still some old references like

docs.microsoft.com/.../gg327971(v=crm.8) and cloudblogs.microsoft.com/.../
